Something a customer told me (that I haven't stopped thinking about).
A customer emailed me recently while choosing an artwork for her home.
She told me she was saving up for the piece as a gift to herself.
Not for a birthday. Not for milestone.
But to celebrate one year of becoming a mother… and one year of breastfeeding.
She said she wanted to look at it every day and remember to feel proud of herself.
Honestly, this is everything to me.
As a woman and as a mum of three boys, I love what this represents.
Many of us have waited for permission, recognition, or someone else to mark the moment for us.
Now I see women honouring themselves in beautiful ways.
And this is what I love most about sending my art off to new homes - I know it’s often not about just decorating - they hold deep meaning and mark special occassions.
And they become the background to your daily rhythm.
Whatever feels meaningful to you - a year of motherhood, a new beginning, a hard season survived, a dream achieved - I hope you find a way to mark it
