Vaza.
As a lover of imperfect and handmade things, it was no surprise I discovered a fascination with zellige tiles. Mesmerised by the irregular shapes and textures, I was inspired to recreate this beautiful chaos in my artwork.
Slabs of colour were arranged in jewel-like tones. The patchwork of imperfect lines were contrasted with the voluptuous round form of a vessel. Flowers romantically draped soften the chaos.
The palette of rich caramel, brick, salmon, apricot, clay and Mediterranean blue is anchored with a deep cool green woven throughout the collection.
These vessels feel like something you would find in your travels - like an unexpected treasure found abroad. Beautiful as a matching or contrasting pair, or a standalone piece.
